Miwako Jojima (Born in 1980)

I was crazy for animals since I was a child and have lived with hamsters, cats, and dogs.

When I met stray cats and dogs, I told to myself "I can't take them in my house any more", but I couldn't neglect them and had them in my parent' garage.
As I grew up I wanted to do something more to heel my beloved animals, and went to an animal nursing school where I could learn nursing, glooming, trimming and handling.

I like walking in the nature smelling " air, grasses, flowers", cooking, traveling, and hot springs.

Maiko Yoshimura (Born in 1965)

Because I was a sickly child and did not have any brothers or sisters, my family began to raise a chow chow named Nonnon on my doctor's advice. She welcomed me every time I came back home, jumping at to me at the front door. She was there for me when I was in hard times. I always lived with her when I was happy and when I was sad. Nonnon made me strong mentally and physically, and I came to love animals.

Besides the dog, I have raised various creatures such as a myna bird, chinchilla, prairie dog, squirrel monkey, pinecone lizard, Xenopus laevis, and sea anemones. Now I have a family of my own, living with two dogs (crossbreed and Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen), three cats, and two little turtles.

I ventured on to change the job as a graphic designer that I have done for almost twenty years. I get excited every day to engage in the job related to animals that I have been longing for.

Teruyo Yamaguchi, Director (Born in 1958)

I have lived with dogs, cats, chickens, bantams, tortoises, etc., since my childhood. When I was a little girl, I took most interest in go and see newborn puppies or kittens in the neighborhood. Therefore I wanted to be a veterinarian, however, I could barely look at a crucian carp and a frog dissected during the science class. So I had to give up becoming a veterinarian and majored in English literature.

I have worked as a cram school teacher, a staff of Protocol Department, Association of Tsukuba Science and Technology Expo, an employee of translation and documentation company, and am now managing Rusuban Wannyan.

After I became an adult, I felt extreme happiness when I find stray kitties and cats and bring them home. I have raised ten cats, one rabbit, and eight tortoises since I started pet sitting business. Now I am living with four cats (an Ocicat named Bred, and stray cats named Roro, Kichi, and Piyo), and five tortoises (three-toed box tortoise, spotted tortoise, etc.). I like listening to rock music, especially Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Fleetwood Mac. My favorite movies are "New Cinema Paradise" and "Kamome Shokudo (Seagull Dining Room)".

I wish this society will become free from abandoned cats and dogs.

Because I wanted to get a job related to animals, I went to Yamazaki Animal Academy to learn disease, nursing care, health check, grooming, trimming, and handling (walking training).

I was sad when a rabbit named Kojiro, whom I have raised since I was a vocational school student, passed away. I was very sad and gave way to tears in the bathroom. Recently, a cat named Maro came to my home. Now he captures my heart completely.
